My art is the expression of a mysterious, quiet story that has within it a line of truth deeper than I am able to see any other way.  Often, I wonder how others know what’s going on inside of themselves.  How do they know what’s really happening?   How do they cope with the deeper meanings of life without an art form to guide them?  Doing art is the way I search for this inner truth.  The images that appear in the clay lead me to an understanding that is beyond that which I can gain from common reflection.  It is a communication with myself and the language is my art.  ~Coeleen
