The most seminal of these understandings came at the time of my son’s sudden and violent death. In the shock and grief that ensued, I sought revenge and justice, believing that some formal, final, mitigating justice would be the healing factor needed for our family.  But, over the many months that followed, my work evolved in such a way as to help me understand that it was the TRUTH that was needed for our healing, not vengeful justice.  I learned that healing involved acquiescing to the just of karma. Karma would take care of Justice in her own way.
